Blackberrys plans to scale up store count for its brand'Urban\'

The exclusive urban menswear brand will be retailed through 30-50 EBOs by next fiscal.

Men’s formal wear brand Blackberry from Gurgaon-based Mohan Clothing Co Pvt Ltd, is planning to open 30-50 exclusive brand outlets for its brand, Urban, by end of this fiscal. Currently, Urban has two exclusive outlets in Pune and Jabalpur. On the exclusive retail scaling of the brand, Ramesh Kaushik, Head-Retail, Blackberrys, told Retail4growth, “Our retail expansion is more of consumer-centric than city-centric. So it’ll be difficult for us to talk about earmarked cities. However, top 5 metros and 5 non-metros are in our radar since we can see lot of consumer catchments in these cities. Apart from exclusive brand stores, we will also have dedicated stores for Blackberrys and Urban. We are also focusing on our presence in large format stores and MBOs.” Blackberrys recently did a large scale Partners Meet aiming to attract new investors and expand the brand URBAN from merely being a wall in Blackberrys’ store to having its own exclusive showrooms.
