CMAI recognises Indian apparel giants through APEX AWARDS 2015

The CMAI's APEX AWARDS 2015, held on October 28, 2015 at the Tata Theatre, NCPA, Nariman Point - Mumbai, awarded the leading apparel and lifestyle brands of the country. The CMAI's (The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India) APEX AWARDS 2015 comprised of 26 categories, honouring various companies and their heads for the remarkable achievement in the retail and consumer merchandise industry.
 
Some of the leading companies like Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd won the title of 'The Clothing Company of the Year - Domestic', While 'The Brand of the Year - Kids Wear' went to Gini & Jony, 'The Woman Entrepreneur of the Year' title was bagged by Ms Anita Dongre, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, House of Anita Dongre Limited and the 'Life Time Achievement Award for the Year' went to Meena Bindra, Chairperson, BIBA Apparels Private Ltd.

The award ceremony also recognised the leading exporters of the country, hailing from various parts of India.
 
CMAI has instituted the "Apex Awards" (National Awards for Excellence in Apparel), to recognise the premier organisations of the Indian Apparel Industry since 2003.  This aims at honouring the outstanding performers of the year who are recognised and chosen by their own peers, acknowledging excellence in apparel manufacturing, marketing and supply chain management and also recognises individual contributions to the apparel industry.
