Coloroso unveils first flagship store in Kolkata

'Coloroso' is a recently opened apparel destination in Kolkata which aims to redefine ethnicity through the traditional attire of the country - sarees , as it truly portrays Indian beauty.   Spread over an area of 750 sq.ft. at the ground floor of Silver Arcade, the interior design speaks of a minimalist decor suited to the theme of the brand giving the look and feel of weaves and where the colours of the sarees pop out adding a vibrant touch to whole environment.
 
Conceptualized and jointly owned by Joydeep Roy and Tanuka Sarkar, the interior design of the store has been meticulously planned keeping in mind the merchandise that Coloroso is offering to their customers which are rich in Indian craftsmanship. The brand has been present in the market for the last one year through exhibitions in different parts of the country. Joydeep shares the objective behind their first store launch, "We did a lot of market research and observed that there is a dearth of authentic hand woven saree store in the market though the number of saree stores are countless. Thus we thought that this is right time to start our flagship store in our own city and soon we plan to launch two more stores in Delhi and Mumbai. Our idea is to blend modern design with age old fabric be it cotton, linen, resham, matka and so on.”
 
Tanuka further added on the store design , "We wanted to incorporate the true flavour of handloom weaving in the decor and thus it has been given a very soothing touch be it in the lighting arrangement or the fixtures and furniture used for the store. The walls have been done accordingly so that the colours of the sarees stands out which is our highlight. We took two and half months to complete the whole decor and setting up the store.”
