Future Group's Lombard forays into premium textile segment

The formal menswear brand from Future Group plans to have presence across 750 MBOs and 50 exclusive outlets.

Lombard, the formal menswear brand, has ventured into the fabric segment. With a great diversity in its product portfolio, Lombard aims to become a one-stop shop for complete wardrobe solutions. Lombard has chalked out an ambitious growth plan to achieve a turnover of Rs 500 crore in the next 5 years. The company plans to increase its distribution network with presence across India through over 750 multi-brand outlets and 50 exclusive brand outlets. "We aim to become India's leading formal menswear fashion brand. The addition of premium fabric and other products in our portfolio will help us in increasing our market share significantly in the Rs 20,000 crores formal men's wear market in India. Lombard's complete range of products will cater to the new generation of ever growing fashion conscious population.” said Ashwani Misra, President, Lombard.
 
 Lombard plans to conquer the fine fabric domestic market by offering a differentiated range of premium fabrics with international style and shades. Lombard is aggressively planning a multi-city road show across India for the launch. The launch will be followed by an innovative print and TV campaign, which will be supported by an on-ground promotion to reiterate the premium positioning of the brand. The brand communication will target fashion conscious people, who want the best of international style. This new collection which will house a range of formal wear (suits, shirts, trousers), accessories (cufflinks, wallets, belts etc) and will also be sharp and dauntless in its look and feel.
     
Lombard which currently retails its readymade garments through Future Group formats like Central and Indus-League owned formats will now reach out to wholesalers, multi-brand outlets, large format stores and exclusive stores.
