GAP and The Children\'s Place to strengthen large format store presence

Both brands are planning to open 5 more exclusive stores as well as to strengthen their SIS presence.

Casual clothing brand GAP and kids wear brand The Children's Place (TCP) from Arvind Group is planning to open 5 more exclusive stores each in north and west India. TCP will also be taken to various more Large Format Stores. Talking to Retail4growth, Prakash Thwani, EVP – Operations, GAP and TCP, explained, “For these new 10 stores, we are already exploring locations in north and west market. the new locations will be mix of metros and non-metros in th

 ese regions. The Children's Place is already present in large formats like Shoppers Stop and Iconic. We plan to strengthen the brand’s footprint in other stores too.” With 10 stores each mostly in metros and mini metros, GAP stores in India are sized between 5000 sq ft to7000 sq ft while the TCP store sizes vary between 1500 sq ft to 2200 sq ft. The brands will soon debut in tier-II cities too.
