Glen Raven explores opportunities in India.

Glen Raven's investments in India began in 2007 when it acquired Strata Systems, Inc. The company is also looking at opening exclusive stores for its brands Sunbrella and Dickson.

Glen Raven, a leading player in the technical textiles market, announced that it looking at partnering with Indian companies to provide industry specific solutions and will start by selling through distributors. The company's brands, Sunbrella and Dickson fabrics, are used for residential and commercial awnings, upholstery, outdoor furniture, and boating. They operate through exclusive retail stores across the world. Apart from that Glen Raven as a manufacturer, distributes its products through various agents across the world. Paige Mullis, Director of Concept Development, Glen Raven says, "We are well placed to partner with Indian companies to provide solutions for industry specific needs. Our leading-edge manufacturing facilities specialize in weaving, knitting, dying, coating, and laminating worldwide—and are committed to the health and safety of our associates.”

The technical textile market in India comprises only of 10-15 % of textiles sector and thereby poses for great potential of development. The company provides high-performance fabrics for various industries including Subrella Fabric for Print and Signage. Glen Raven's investments in India began in 2007 when it acquired Strata Systems, Inc. in the U.S., which owned 50 percent of Strata India, a geosynthetics sales, marketing and technical support company based in Mumbai. As of now, the company is testing the waters in the Indian market and will sell through distributors. But looking at the growth potential, the company said that they may soon open exclusive Sunbrella and Dickson stores.
