In-Store Asia 2018 on day 2 witnessed yet another interesting session called “New trends in digital enabled shopping environments” by David Kepron, Vice President - Design, Global Design Strategies Marriott International.

In this session David focused on ‘why grey matter’ matters and what are the most important aspects to be kept in mind while developing customer experience. For experiences the important factors or elements which has a deep effect on the shoppers are – Relationships, Making places and not spaces, Ritual Participation, Play times and Story telling.

David also opines that synaptic pruning and novelty are very much integral part of this and to connect more with the customers a creative and collaborative approach is needed to make the brand accepted by the shoppers.
