Meena Bazaar to launch fresh take on retail design

By Satarupa Chakraborty | April 27, 2018

Meena Bazaar will soon launch its biggest flagship store in Gurgaon with a refreshed take on design using variations in heights of each level at the store while infusing pop colours and digital elements. The brand will add about 20 stores by the end of this year.

Fifty year old women’s ethnic wear brand Meena Bazaar will soon launch a flagship store with refreshed take on their existing retail design. Spread across approx. 10,000 sq ft and designed by Chromed Design (the same agency who designed the successful bar chain, Social), this will be the brand’s largest store and first store to engage young audience. With a pan India presence through about 100 stores, the brand has also revealed their plan to add about 20 stores by the end of this year.

Talking to Retail4growth, Sameer Manglani, CEO, Meena Bazaar, explained further, “We have always kept our legacy alive as a generational retailer. However, when it came to retail design, we always executed regal fashion of design in all our stores, while adding various elements time to time. About two months back, we opened a store in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon and we added a special ceiling to the store. However, this upcoming flagship will present a complete new look as we are attempting to connect with our young and savvy clientele. The design will infuse bright pop colours, different heights of levels to accommodate long garments, raised platforms, video walls etc. We plan to take this design to other upcoming selective stores.”

Most of the stores of Meena Bazaar have been created by Delhi-based architectural firm, RMDK.
