Micron EMS to launch new IoT solution for retail

Bangalore-based intelligent lighting and software solutions provider company, Micron EMS will soon launch a Shelf Price Management System, as part of their offerings in retail IoT solutions. The product, an LCD interface with mesh network, will help retailers, specially operating with large spaces, change customised shelf communications without any human effort and in much shorter span of time. The range will also collect data on shopper mapping and behaviour within the store.

Talking exclusively to Retail4Growth, Nagaraj Melkote, Director-Technical & Strategic Alliance, Micron EMS Tech Pvt Ltd, explained, “One of the biggest challenges with large format retailers is to change customised brand communication for each display. This becomes more difficult when the regular season turns into sale season overnight. Even with the support of Oracle software, it takes humongous human effort to change the communication, which is often unique to each displayed merchandise. We are bringing this digital display solution, which is sized at 4 inchX 1 inch, which can be controlled centrally without any human effort. Interestingly, this product is also enabled to collect tremendous amount of metrics in terms of shopper mapping and behaviours, which will further aid the brands/retailers with better understanding of business.”
