Our stores are creating an omni-chanel experience for customers: Peyush Bansal

Speaking on day two at the 10th edition of In-Store Asia at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, Peyush Bansal, Founder & CEO- Lenskart, highlighted the journey of Lenskart in becoming an omni channel brand.

Presenting his topic "Building an Omni-Channel Brand" - The Lenskart story, on day two at the 10th edition of In-Store Asia at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, Peyush Bansal, Founder & CEO- Lenskart highlighted why today omni channel is a must for any retailer to succeed. While presenting his topic, Peyush highlighted that India with its half a billion population needs spectacles but only one fourth of it possess them.

Peyush explained that it is Lenskart's idea to provide the service of getting spectacles in a very easy and convenient manner. "We observed that three-fourths of Indians use mobile devices for shopping online and we wanted to provide such online service for scalability of the product," he added.

Taking the omni-channel route, Peyush shared that Lenskart has now got offline as well, where they have opened 200 stores across the country and plan to add a lot more in the future. In addition to this, they plan to extend the brand's reach by incorporating wi-fi connection in the stores and addressing the issue of shortage of trained optometrists.
