People’s new retail design ID, designed by Fitch and executed by 4D, incorporates a mix of finished and unfinished elements. People plans to open more than 20 new stores with this new ID by end of this fiscal.

Large format retailer brand from Madura Group, People has recently launched their new retail design ID through a flagship store in the outskirts of Bangalore. The new ID has already been rolled out in smaller stores in Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore and Haldwani. The new ID, designed by Fitch and executed by Four Dimensions Retail Design India Pvt Ltd, incorporates a mix of rough and finished materials in mannequins, flooring etc while grey rules the colour palette. The brand, planning to open four more flagship stores in Kalyan, Jaipur, Shimoga and Indore, has revealed its plan to open more than 20 stores by end of current fiscal.

The store design revolves around a theme that states “Perfect with imperfections”. Rough mannequins (supplied by Clone Mannequins) on unfinished podiums made of corrugated sheets stand out in the store. Mild steel powder coated fixtures, supplied by Space Design and white track lights, supplied by RLT are used in the store. The design specially focuses on the strong branding on façade – either clear glass façade or a mix with visual and branding signage.
