Shades of India to expand their retail presence

Currently present through 2 EBOs in Delhi-NCR and multiple SIS across the country, Shades of India plans to expand their EBO presence to Mumbai and other cities along with increasing their SIS presence.

Home, lifestyle and apparel brand Shades of India plans to expand their retail doors by going beyond Delhi-NCR to cities like Mumbai and Bangalore. The brand currently has two exclusive stores in Delhi and Gurgaon respectively and SIS at Good Earth, Amethyst Chennai, Raintree Bangalore and Options Ahmedabad.

In an exclusive chat with Retail4Growth, David Housego, Founder, Shades of India, shared, “We started as a home furnishing brand and later expanded our portfolio into apparel and interior. Today, we have two EBOs and multiple SIS with leading designer boutiques and stores in the country, amounting to total number of 10 retail touchpoints. We recently expanded our store at Meherchand Market in Delhi. As for retail expansion, our immediate plan is to reach Mumbai market with an EBO and then try out other metro locations. We are also looking to expand our SIS network.”

Founded almost two decades ago, Shades of India has built up a strong international reputation and has sold to leading department stores around the world including Harrods and the Conran Shop in the UK, ABC and Gumps in the US, Le Bon Marche in Paris, and Lane Crawford in Hong Kong. The company has participated in major international fairs including Maison et Objet in Paris and the New York Gift show.
