A picture perfect space, Smoke House Deli, reminisces the old world charm of Bangalore with its pristine white decor and interesting design elements that surely entices its clientele.

After enticing Mumbai and Delhi with its exclusive décor and lip smacking delicacies, Smoke House Deli is now all charged to flatter the Bangaloreans, with its new exclusive outlet at the 100ft Road Indiranagar in Bangalore.

Smoke House Deli houses a blend of the contemporary with the vintage. Designed by Busride Design Studio, the space exemplifies the history of Bangalore through its décor. All brushed in white, the building flaunts two floors wherein the ground floor is zoned into three seating areas while the first floor sports an opulent stretched bar.

The restaurant's interiors are a reflection of its exteriors which is bright, leafy and lazy. Through its illustrations, Smoke House Deli references an array of'things' loosely related to the Garden City, ranging from gardening, botany, green-belts and parks for children as well as cravings for a pastoral life along with sustenance farming and suburban life.

Zameer Basrai, architect at The Busride Design Studio, says, "As the hand-illustrated Deli format lends easily to context, Smoke House Deli Indiranagar is a celebration of Bengaluru: The Garden City. Though these days we only see fragments of that fantastic idea, there's so much history and so many imaginations of Bengaluru that are forgotten today. Smoke House Deli is an ode to a city that could have been, and that should probably be.”

The walls are botanical treat with rare species of plants, mushrooms, botanical references and scientific diagrams of the flora and fauna indigenous to the city. On the floor, however, real aboriginal potted species line the walls; transforming Smoke House Deli into a space with full of greenery. Strains of the colonial era also echo off the walls bringing to mind Bangalore's military heritage and the stiff upper lip that came with it.

The cafe is an amalgamation of rich culinary traditions with modern European café fare. "The menu highlights homely, comfort food that please all your senses while retaining gourmet flourishes”, says Executive Chef Shamsul Wahid. "Our intent is to give you all-day options with wholesome, healthy as well as hearty fare designed to cater to every mood,” he further adds.

Breakfast being considered the most important meal for the restaurant, the kitchen and bakery exclusively churn out luscious breakfast offerings of Pancakes, Omelettes and concoctions like the Granola Chunks with Curd, Honey and fresh fruits.
