South India Malls to renovate its existing stores

By Satarupa Chakraborty | December 29, 2017

Leading traditional retailer from South India will take its retail expansion slow this year for revamping their fixtures, ceilings and lighting at key stores.

South India-based leading ethnic wear retailer - South India Malls, plans to renovate its existing stores by revamping lighting, fixtures and ceilings. South India Malls today have 17 large format outlets spread across the 5 South Indian states.

Talking to Retail4growth, Suresh Seerna, Director, South India Malls, explained further, “For the last few years, we have been looking at our retail scaling by growing the number of stores. This year, we’ll take a pause in terms of adding the number of stores because we have decided to revamp our key stores. We have realized that store design looks decayed or old in every 2-3 years. Therefore, we have decided to change the lighting, ceilings and fixtures. We will keep the fixture design same but we plan to change the lighting to more aesthetic and advanced ones. Though we are taking the scaling part slow, we will soon open one more outlet.” At present, Gardler is the lighting supplier for South India Malls.
