Vodafone launches first'Angel Store' in Kolkata

Vodafone India, one of India's leading telecommunications service providers, has launched its first'Vodafone Angel Store' at 8/C Alipore Road in Kolkata, which is managed and run completely by women employees. This initiative is in line with Vodafone's endeavours in encouraging diversity and inclusion at workplace and is a unique step towards women's empowerment. Spread over an area of 1000 sq.ft,. the retail outlet is centrally located catering to a large residential populace of the area. The store was formally inaugurated by Anand Sahai, Business Head, Kolkata and Bengal, Vodafone India.
 


Expressing pride in this unique Vodafone initiative being launched in Kolkata, Anand Sahai said, "Vodafone is the first to launch Angel store in Kolkata.  We believe economic empowerment of women is a great building block in social development.
