Wacoal targets 30-40 stores by 2019

Currently present in Indian market through 10 exclusive stores across all major metros, Wacoal will expand its EBO presence via 30-40 stores by 2019.

Japanese lingerie brand Wacoal, with a present portfolio of 10 exclusive stores in India, targets 30-40 exclusive doors by end of next year.

In an exclusive chat with Retail4Growth, Sandeep Goenka, COO, Wacoal India Pvt Ltd, shared, “Wacoal is a globally-trusted brand in lingerie category and you’ll be surprised to know that the brand is enjoying almost 80% conversion rate in this country. As of now, we have about 10 stores across major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. We have been a bit slow in terms of adding aggressive number of retail stores for understanding the Indian consumers and market in this category. However, by 2019, we will be present through 30-40 stores across all major metro markets.”
