Woodland eyes further expansion in eastern market

The company has nine stores in Kolkata and is looking to add three more in the city. Further in east, they are in search of new markets such as Nagaland among others.

Woodland, the footwear brand which is retailed by Aero Club is looking for diversification and network expansion in the country. The company has nine stores in Kolkata and is looking to add three more in the city. In eastern region, the company plans to add 7-8 more stores, taking its retail network to around 50 stores, while moving in newer markets like Nagaland. Harkirat Singh Managing Director of Aero club shares, “We have a network of 600 stores and adding 30-40 new stores every year. Also the e-commerce channel is growing constituting around 15% of the business. We are selling through our portal as well as online market places.”

On the products side they are looking at expanding their offer in the outdoor category as well as expand its separate network for fashion and casual product brand Woods. Singh further informed that the company have plans to open 10-15 stores in metros and non-metros for Woods.
