Philips Lighting India, the country's leading brand in the lighting market, recently launched two new products- Philips RazorLED and Philips Ace Saver 2-in-1. Also, they have been designed and developed at Philips Lighting Innovation Centre (PLIC) in Noida.

Delving into product details, Philips RazorLED is the slimmest ever downlighter by Philips. It is 60 per cent slimmer and 50 per cent lighter compared to normal LED downlighters. The product has enhanced colour-rendering index adding to the interior appeal. It is manufactured with precision in LED mounting which gives uniform light distribution across the surface without any dark or bright spots, making it highly luminous. RazorLED downlights come with a unique mounting mechanism that can easily fit into various false ceilings such as plyboard, gypsum or particleboard. Its high power factor reduces energy consumption and makes it last up to three times longer than conventional light sources. Also, RazorLED is available in two variants and with a colour option in shades of white (cool, natural and warm).

The Philips Ace Saver 2-in-1 is the first-ever colour changing branded LED bulb with a simple toggle of switch. This product addresses task-oriented illumination and benefits consumers with upto 85 per cent energy saving as compared to GLS. It has been developed keeping in mind the emerging trend of mood lighting and at the same time it offers up to 40 per cent energy savings over 15W CFL.

Speaking on the launch, Sumit Joshi, Head - Marketing, Philips Lighting India said, "Smart solutions that seamlessly integrate in today's homes and work spaces are driving the industry. At Philips, our innovations are based on consumer insights and we develop products that meet the evolving consumer needs. For e.g.: our research reflects that consumers prefer white light for reading and switch to yellow light in a formal setting and the 2-in-1 LED bulb will do just that. The bulb can be simply controlled through a switch without any need for a smartphone or an app or any other frills. Similarly, with slim and sleek being the preferred option for all lifestyle products, RazorLED has got great initial response from the consumers. We sold more than a million worth of products per day in the first 45 days of the launch.”
