Through this innovative and novel concept at retail stores, Bombay Shirt Company's shirt simulator promises to make a customer's in-store experience even more interactive than before.

Bombay Shirt Company, a preferred destination for classic and contemporary made-to-measure shirts recently upped their technological game and installed a state-of-the-art digital shirt simulator at their stores in Kala Ghoda and Bandra, Mumbai.

Through this innovative and novel concept at retail stores, their shirt simulator promises to make a customer's in-store experience even more interactive than before. An ultra-user friendly and effective virtual rendering solution, the simulator allows a customer to interact with their custom designed shirt. The simulator's primarily visual interface makes designing a bespoke shirt intuitive, fun and easily navigable, with icons and graphics that make for a seamless user experience. The simulator takes the user through the various steps needed to create personalized shirt from scratch and includes everything from selecting available fabrics, collars and cuffs, accents and detailing and even monogram options, all of which can be tweaked and personalized to fit the client's individual sartorial tastes. What results at the end of this fairly brief process is a 3-D rendering of what the shirt will look like.

Once designed, the shirt can be virtually "tried-on” as the system's built-in camera allows clients to see themselves "wearing” their creation on-screen, which gives a near-perfect sense of what the shirt will look like finally.

Bombay Shirt Company (BSC) was launched in September 2012 and is the brainchild of Akshay Narvekar. Conceived and based in the heart of Mumbai, Bombay Shirt Company invites clients to choose from their ready-to-order range or make their shirt from scratch to create a one-of-a-kind custom piece. Clients have the option of either visiting the company's website or stopping by one of the brand's several iconic pop-up kiosks around the city or their recently launched flagship store in Mumbai. Alternatively, one can also schedule an appointment with one of BSC's Travelling Stylists who will arrive right at one's doorstep and help with selecting and designing a shirt; all complimentary of course. A new flagship store which is slated to launch later in the year is also a part of the company's plans.
