The Façade: The store is located on a prominent , the façade thus had to be spectacular and a conversation piece.
We have created a façade that looks different in the day and transforms in the night with the effective use of glass, coated TI metal and dramatic lighting. The top and bottom are capped by ACP sheet bands to give definition to the main cladding which is in double glazing which has a specially imported translucent fabric that is sandwiched between two glass sheets. The joinery is covered by a motif of TI and external grade translucent acrylic. The main signage is reverse-lit and looks bold and clear in the day and becomes subtle yet visible, when the lighting kicks in. The entire glazing is back lit with a yellow light wash and the motifs light up in a white light together making a bold statement. On special occasions the façade is backlit in colours with the motifs in a coordinated color.
The interiors:
Designed in a contemporary theme, the two level store is a fusion of clean lines, forms and some dramatic embellishments befitting a jewellery store. There minute detailing, be it counters and customer chairs, or ‘jaali’ partitions and the multi-leveled ceiling.
The material palette is a oak offset by a bronze-tone fabric on the walls and furniture, with a crème Italian marble in combination with a white Statuario marble highlighted by a reddish-brown Italian marble border. Each section is differently designed in the display while the overall look is uniform tying the spaces together.
An elevated semi-enclosed space in the centre on the upper level forms the Jadau Jewellery Lounge and the Designer’s den for customized jewellery. The ‘jaali’ enclosing the space is in a dull gold stippling while the counters and seating are clad in Asfour crystal differentiate over the general areas. The designer’s desk and the chairs are in sweeping bands of veneer befitting the usage.
The semi enclosed Solitaires Lounge has been themed in a blue palette. The furniture is modern, different so that this lounge spells upgrade.
There is a grand Private Viewing Chamber and bridal area. This enclosure is designed in ethnic and contemporary styling. The displays are styled like ‘jharokhas’ while the rest of the furniture is classic-modern. The walls are paneled with fabric sandwiched glass backed with mirror to give it transparency and the partitions are in sandwiched glass so that the lounge is visible from the rest of the store. An area separated by velvet drapes, a bride can dress and try jewellery sitting on an ornate chair with a similar table to place her trousseau. Here the walls are paneled in mirror.
The retail area has restrooms for visitors done up in Italian marble and play area for children. The back of the house has offices, meeting rooms, server and security monitoring room, stores, rooms for craftsmen to repair and refurbish jewellery, locker rooms, lunch and rest rooms for the staff and a six bed dormitory.
