Narrating a royal story!

The store windows at the flagship outlet of Manyavar portray a traditional yet trendy style

Ethnic menswear brand Manyavar has portrayed a royal, traditional and yet trendy style in its current store window display. The Visual Merchandising plays a vital role in narrating the story of the brand, highlighting the elegantly classic men's designer wear.

The flagship store at Lower Parel, Mumbai has a vast window space. Executing a display of 20ft x 40ft dimension on a busy street was challenging. Hence, they created a platform for each window first, and then amplified the dimensions of the props to create a bold and majestic impact. They have also used modern painting techniques to give the objects a celestial sheen.

"Our aim was to represent the style of Manyavar which is a creative blend of classic and modern ethnic menswear fashion. Hence, we have taken inspiration from the royal palaces and used traditional elements like a horse carriage, an ornate palatial gate and ornate arches for the props and combined them with a modern and trendy colour palette. We have also incorporated a lot of modern laser cutting techniques for the props to add detailing to every item of the display,” said Ravi Modi - Managing Director, Manyavar.

"We played with colours that flowed in with the store windows to the interior design of the store. We have used copper and gold tones which are seen in our VM and also in the store design colour palette. A lot of jali work has been used in our VM which has also been inspired from the interior design of the store,” he said.

This theme will be up for three months in the windows.
