By Nabamita Chatterjee | November 12, 2013

An innovative'wrap' like feel was created using the branding elements of ROYAL STAG.

Royal Stag, the premium liquor brand recently went in for a revamped look at the Bar cum Restaurant outlet called Devdas in Kolkata to up their retail quotient.  Executed by B. Chaudhury Print & Art Services Private Limited, the F&B warren at E.M. Bypass got a transformed look and feel.

Debabrata Chaudhuri, Managing Director of B. Chaudhury Print & Art Services Private Limited informs how the turnkey solution for the brand has been executed, "As the building facade was broad the possibility of exploring the face was considered first.  For revamping the outlet the concept which was adapted was to create a'building wrap' using the branding elements of ROYAL STAG. The major challenge was in addressing the cantilevers of the building which were more than 2 ft protruded. The basic concept was made and shared with Pernod Ricard, and there were certain suggestions from them regarding branding and the final design was prepared as the turnkey order was for the exterior only with us by PernodRicard for their brand ROYAL STAG.”

While describing the technical aspects of the project Debabrata Chaudhuri further shares, "Each aspect has been taken care off with minute detailing–

  •    The side walls has front lit hoarding type structure on the building where the front lit printing along with metal halide fixtures for outdoor lighting having a size of 17' wide x 34' high has been installed.

  •     At the front facade, the Ground Floor wall is cladded with ACP with necessary back support having latex printing of graphics on vinyl– 43' x 11'.Also at the facade where a vertical front lit Sharukh Khan visual is printed in the layout of– 10' x 34' and the complete structure with the wall having 2ft for the cantilever has flex printing, front lighting with metal halide lamps.

  •    The First floor façade next to stair tower is 33' x 18' with a mix of front lit and backlit graphics; the lighting is metal halide  for front lit lighting  on printed flex and Back lit bottle cut-out  communicating the brand message has given a new look to the spot.

  •     The Shop name on 43' x 6'x 2' protruding structure with false ceiling has down lighting. The backlit face is with a combination of flex printing and plotter cut vinyl and  has added a new dimension in the whole get up of the outlet.”

The project took two weeks to complete from concept to execution and every material was made ready in the workshop and the execution was done at the site in one day. "In fact over night the place looked new. A partial bar and restaurant which was almost invisible has suddenly become highly noticeable due to quality graphics and structural work done aesthetically. The strong presence of the brand through this outlet is referred by lot of people in the trade to us. The best part of the outlet is that this particular outlet had increased its footfall by ten-fold and has thrown severe competetion to the other bars nearby," signs off Debabrata Chaudhuri.
