The brand so far has 152 stores across the country and is on an expansion mode in the eastern zone of the country with its in-store marketing campaign

Skechers India, the lifestyle footwear, apparels and accessories brand, recently rolled an in-store marketing campaign for their next-generation transitional running shoes, ‘GoRun 6’ to make a larger connect with their target group at South City Mall, Kolkata. During the event, Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan took up the Beat My Speed Challenge and ran at the speed of 10kmph on a treadmill wearing GoRun 6. Rahul Vira, Chief Executive Office, Skechers Performance India said, “GoRun 6 is by far the lightest running shoe by Skechers. With the Beat My Speed challenge we aim to promote the running culture in India and encourage everyone to stay active in their day-to-day routine.” Consumers from Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad took up the GoRun6 challenge.

Soumen Das, Sr Marketing Manager, Skechers India shares with Retail4Growth, “As we are looking at expanding our retail base quite rapidly in eastern zone, this is a campaign which is giving us a good opportunity to interact and engage with our target audience who are essentially the youth of the country. We promote running and runners and our products are highly suitable for running. East is a very important market for us and we are looking at opening further stores in Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Siliguri, Patna and Guwahati.”

Skechers Performance is available in India and over 160 countries and territories worldwide via department and specialty stores with more than 2,305 Skechers company-owned and third-party-owned retail stores, and the company’s e-commerce websites.
