HSJ stands out with jewellery offering to suit all

Starting its journey 124 years ago from Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, HSJ has grown to have 3 stores in the market.Their largest store is the flagship outlet at Lucknow measuring 18,000 sqft.

Legendary jewellery brand, HSJ, started its journey 124 years ago from Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. “The brand stands for a father-son duo Harsahaimal Shiamlal Jewellers, where the USP is the purity, which has helped HSJ in its growth,” says Ankur Anand, Owner, HSJ. Initially, HSJ started with an 1800 sqft area that was further modernised and expanded into a spacious 4000 sqft store. The second store was opened in Bareli which is spread over 12,000 sqft, while their largest store is the flagship outlet at Lucknow measuring 18,000 sqft. HSJ has received various recognition in retail jewellery segment. For the Bareli store, they were awarded the best new store, and for Lucknow HSJ showroom they received the best new store launch all over India in 2017. “We are doing a lot of gold, diamond, polki and coloured stones. We offer everything from everyday jewellery to couture collections,” Ankur Anand said. 

Deepak Kalra from Delhi has designed the HSJ showroom along with the vision and ideas of Ankur Anand. It was an intentional effort to place the store in the most unique manner to strike maximum attention. The facade of HSJ has a very bold and strong, straight line exterior. For interiors they have worked on a European design, while the gold jewellery section has a Renaissance look and feel, and diamond section is very contemporary. The store’s lighting has been made in India by Deepak Kalra’s wife Poonam Kalra, who is a furniture and lighting expert and also works on fixtures. She has conceptualized the counters, chairs, lights, flooring and furniture. The entire HSJ store took a year and half to be completely designed.
