‘Regulations will curb use of unsustainable materials’

By Retail4Growth Team | September 30, 2019

In a chat with Retail4Growth Mihir Parekh, Vice President at Nilkamal Limited – BubbleGUARD talks about what buyers must look for while selecting best materials and how green printing can grow.

Mihir Parekh, VP, Nilkamal LimitedDo you observe any trend in client demand in the retail segment?

There are too many brands vying for customer mindshare, so new clutter cutting and unique concepts of marketing and signage are always in demand.

What scope for growth do you see for print in retail/in-store segment?

Given the high strength and fabrication flexibility, we believe PrintGUARD can completely replace PVC Foam Board (sunboard) in an extremely cost-effective manner and deliver more versatile and attractive displays.

How green printing can grow?

Need is for more awareness about products available. There are rigid and flexible materials available that are eco-friendly and there is no need to continue using old wasteful materials. We also see that like with single-use bags, regulations will curb the use of unsustainable materials.

What buyers must look for while selecting the best materials?

Key factor is versatility. The material should be able to meet whatever your requirement is. Currently when using Sunboard, you need to use metal stands because the material cannot be bent – or flute cannot be cut easily, otherwise it will tear. PrintGUARD offers a complete all-in-one solution right from standees to danglers to FSUs.
