Chowman, Kolkata's favourite F&B den for authentic oriental cuisine,  recently launched their fifth outlet in Kolkata at Patuli. The 42 seater restaurant is one of the first of its kind fine dining restaurant in the area.

Like the other Chowman outlets, this new restaurant has the signature décor with elegant red and black colour scheme surrounded by low lighting along with the bronze Buddha statute, and other design elements like the authentic Chinese pots and bells which are strategically incorporated to design the space giving a soothing ambiance.

Debaditya Chaudhury, Managing Director, Chowman Chain of Restaurants informs VM&RD, "Creating the perfect ambience has always been a major highlight of all Chowman restaurants. The concept of the eatery revolves around giving each customer a fine dining experience and the setting is created with personally handpicked decor items from China and Hong Kong. From the moment you enter the restaurant, the Oriental experience begins with hand crafted sculptures, exquisitely carved walls by craftsmen flown in from China, warm lighting with elegant red and black interiors. Even all the essential ingredients- from sauces to crockery and cutlery have been imported from Thailand and China.”

He adds, "Chowman has gained immense popularity in the last five years of operation. We have been receiving a lot of requests from our guests to open an outlet in Patuli. Thus we came up with this outlet and from the very first day this outlet has been receiving an overwhelming response. Our motto is to make our food accessible in every corner of the city and popularise this neighbourhood-fine-dining concept in those areas where good eatery options are very less. Therefore further we have plans to open three new outlets in Behala, Shyambazar very soon within next three months and also another outlet in north Kolkata.”

Apart from the interiors and the lavish spread, special attention has been given to present a authentic Chinese cuisine and the menu features dishes which pays homage to the various provinces of China. The dishes are especially designed by master-chefs keeping in mind the palette of Kolkatans.
