The mall wins Asia Shopping Centre and Mall Awards in three categories.

The DLF Mall of India bagged three prestigious awards. The project, which is nearing its mid 2014 launch, won the awards at the prestigious Asia Shopping Centre and Mall Awards held in Mumbai. Pushpa Bector, Senior Vice President and Head (leasing and mall Management), was awarded the'Most Admired Shopping Centre Professional of the Year' award, while the DLF Mall of India won the 'Best Architecture & Interior Design Shopping Centre' award and the 'Best New Design & Development & Sustainable Design' award.

Acknowledging the awards, Pushpa Bector said, "It's a great honor for DLF Mall of Pushpa Bector, Senior Vice President and Head (leasing and mall Management), India to be recognized at the Asia Shopping Centre and Mall Awards. Mall of India is a state of the art project benchmarked with best malls in the world. The architecture, design and environmental sustainability of the mall showcases the best international practices we are bringing to India. We thank the jury for acknowledging our sincere efforts as it adds to our credibility and further strengthens the ideology of DLF to constantly innovate, create and cater to the discerning consumers. I also thank the industry for acknowledging my efforts to create an impact in retail malls through quality mall development & good tenant relations.”

Drawing inspiration from retail destinations of global standards this eclectic ensemble of retail offerings is spread across six levels of retail experience with zones clearly defined as Market Place, International Boulevard, The High Street, Family World and Leisure Land. More than 475 retail units, an indoor entertainment city spread over 2 levels- which would have 7 DT star screens and the largest food court with over 1200 seats is what the mall brings to the plate. A racetrack atrium pitches for better visibility and store accesses. Also, there would be over 73 escalators and an express escalator to provide convenience and comfort while shopping.

An added recognition for this mall is a LEED Gold green building certification. With this, the DLF Mall of India would be the largest mall to be awarded such a prestige. MAPIC awards held on an international stage have conferred upon this mall the honor of the Retail Rising Star of the year.
