Ferns n Petals to add 50 stores every year; to expand via franchisee route

With a network of 252 plus stores pan India, Ferns N Petal, the florist chain, plans to add 50 more stores each year. Founded 23 years back, Ferns N Petals started expanding in franchise model in 2004. Anil Sharma, Vice President, Retail & Franchise, Ferns N Petals, told Retail4growth, “While expanding via franchise route over many years, we have recently observed the inclination among youth towards start-ups. We are also encouraging housewives to look at it as a business opportunity. We actually have 40% women as entrepreneurs who have associated themselves in our franchise rollout plan. We have also brought down our per store investments by 50%.” Ferns N Petals has also recently changed their store interior as per international florist store designs.
