Funskool India opens toy store in Kochi

The store features popular international toys from Hasbro, LEGO, Leap Frog, Tomy, Ravensburger, Siku, Hornby; licensed products from Disney, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon; full range of Funskool's own brands like"œGiggles,"œHandycrafts”,"œPlay & Learn”

Funskool (India) Ltd, India's leading toy company, has opened its first store in Kerala at the Oberon Mall in Kochi.  The store features the most popular international toys from Hasbro, LEGO, Leap Frog, Tomy, Ravensburger, Siku, Hornby etc, and licensed products from Disney, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon, etc., in addition to the full range of Funskool's own brands like "Giggles, "Handycrafts”,  "Play & Learn” etc., manufactured in its plants at Goa and Ranipet.

The store, launched on August 2, presents a wide collection of board games, action figures, puzzles & toys for children & adults.  The colourful store also has a dedicated LEGO play table for the kids to engage themselves in when they visit the store. To celebrate the launch, a LEGO building event was organised to involve the kids at the Mall.  A 14 feet long and 5 feet tall LEGO train was built by the children using 1,82,000 LEGO bricks.

 Speaking on the occasion, John Baby, CEO of Funskool (India) Limited, said, "Funskool has always been in the forefront in offering quality toys and games to adults and children. With the opening of our retail outlets dedicated to toys, we hope to address the needs of parents in wanting their children to grow up playing and learning with the best of branded toys."

The company stated in its release that it plans to open many such stores across the Tier II cities in India.
