Hashtag Plus to have stores across India, Middle East and Africa

Poised to open 120 multi brand outlets (MBO) in India within next 5 years Hashtag Plus will retail plus size lingerie from some of the leading brands of South Asia, as their exclusive distributor. The retail expansion via franchise rollout model will go beyond India to set up stores in key markets of Middle East and Africa.

Hashtag Plus, an India-based retail startup of plus-size lingerie multi brand outlets, on a path of aggressive retail expansion path, will soon have stores across India, Middle East and Africa through franchisee route. The Faridabad-based company has disclosed their plan of phase-wise retail expansion targeting the Indian metros initially through setting up 10 stores in the first year. As part of their broader plan, the company will have 120 exclusive stores across India within next 5 years. The first store of Hashtag Plus is expected to open in Delhi by September this year.

Talking exclusively to Retail4growth on their business model and growth plan, Ankita Soni, Brand Acquisition Manager, Hashtag Plus, shared, “Through our MBOs, we will be retailing only plus size lingerie of some of renowned brands of South Asia. While we are scouting more brands to obtain exclusive distributorship in India. We already have brands like Parfait, Xixili, Mymiimii and Fu Lam. Apart from having a strong store network in India, we will soon expand our network to key markets in Middle East and Africa.”

The store prototype has recently been shared by Hashtag Plus’s design agency Delhi-based D’Art on their LinkedIn profile. The store design looks pathbreaking with interesting façade and in-store elements that celebrates the shape of a curvy woman.
