Hindustan Unilever assigns Ritesh Tiwari as the CFO and Member of Board

Ritesh will be taking over the duties of Srinivas Phatak who is moving to the parent firm Unilever’s headquarters in London. He will also be designated as the vice president, finance, South Asia, Unilever.

FMCG major, Hindustan Unilever Ltd, (HUL) has recently appointed Ritesh Tiwari as the chief financial officer and member of the board which will be effective from May 1, 2021, subject to necessary government approvals. He will be taking over the duties of Srinivas Phatak who is moving to the parent firm Unilever’s headquarters in London. Ritesh will also be designated as the vice president, finance, South Asia, Unilever.

Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director, HUL, stated, “I would like to thank Srinivas for his purpose-driven leadership and invaluable contributions to the business. He has passionately led HUL’s Finance function and steered the business through transformational changes such as the Goods and Services Tax implementation and GSK consumer Healthcare (GSK CH) – HUL merger, the largest in the industry.”

Ritesh joined HUL as a management trainee back in 1999 and has led a variety of team in India, across Unilever, in core finance and as a business partner to front-end sales, categories, and supply chain in the last 21 years.
