H&M unveils their first store in Kolkata

H&M, Hennes & Mauritz AB, the international retailer, recently opened doors to its first store in Kolkata at Woodburn Central today. Over 400 eager shoppers and fashionistas queued up early in the morning to shop the new collections. “The anticipation over our launch in Kolkata has been thrilling, and we are excited to welcome shoppers into our very first store. We believe that we can offer our customers global fashion with added value of quality and sustainability at the best price," said Janne Einola, Country Manager H&M India.

Einola also added “We are delighted to open our first store in Kolkata just in time for the festivities. We look forward to exceed customer expectations with our varied range of inspiring fashion that lets them explore their personal style”. The new H&M store, spread over 18,000 Sq. Ft and two floors carries a complete range of fashion and accessories for women, men, teenagers and children in the store. Janne Einola along with Area Manager Louis Coucke, Lease Manager Sreyoshi Biswas and Store Manager Shivraj Kanyal welcomed the customers, who received goodie bags and H&M surprises. The first fashionista in line was awarded a gift card of Rs. 10,000 while the subsequent two fashionistas received a gift card of Rs.7,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively.

H&M currently operates 17 stores across India, the store at Woodburn Central Mall marks the brands entry in East  India and will  be one of the 9 new stores planned for Autumn 2017. The brand has alsoannounced its shop online launch for 2018.
