The Gen Next store is designed to be smarter and experiential through the use of technology, innovation in services, layouts and sections and digital interfaces.
Speaking about it, Vishal Kapoor, Chief Design Officer, Future Group had told Retail4Growth, "The store is a culmination of our past learnings with our vision of future. From a market cluttered with price-driven mundane models, we have moved towards an experience-driven model. The fast-evolving consumer behaviour, social and economic environment supplemented by technology have been key backgrounds of this next gen experience.”
“Gen Next stores are designed to make the brand Big Bazaar look younger, while continuing to retain the core essence of offering value for money products. We have put together a huge assortment of products which will appeal to young consumers. Apart from families, we are targeting consumers in their early 30s and teenagers through our fashion category,” Rakesh Biyani, Joint Managing Director at Future Retail was quoted as saying in a report.
