Colgate-Palmolive Asia Pacific bags customer experience award for ‘Metaverse Masterclass’

Colgate-Palmolive Asia Pacific has been honoured with the prestigious Customer Experience Initiative of the Year - Singapore award at the FMCG Asia Awards 2023 for its "Colgate Metaverse Masterclass" initiative.


In an interesting example of using immersive technology by an FMCG brand to get closer to its customers and reinforce brand standing, Colgate-Palmolive Asia Pacific has rolled out a unique ‘Metaverse Masterclass’ tailored for dental students. Colgate-Palmolive Asia Pacific, headquartered in Singapore, has in fact been honoured with the prestigious Customer Experience Initiative of the Year - Singapore award at the FMCG Asia Awards 2023 for this initiative. 

“The Colgate Metaverse Masterclass was an innovative learning experience specifically curated for dental students. It provided unparalleled access to esteemed experts in a virtual environment, combining education and enjoyment seamlessly,” informs the company. 

“This initiative, orchestrated by Colgate-Palmolive Asia Pacific Singapore Branch, aligns with the brand's overarching mission to ensure a promising future for all, including their valued partners in dental professionals,” the statement adds.

The programme aimed to address common challenges in dental education. Colgate thus created a virtual dental clinic, selecting students from across India to participate alongside renowned dentist Dr. Sandesh Mayekar as a special guest speaker. This 90-minute immersive session mirrored real-life dental practice scenarios. To create a truly immersive experience, Colgate Palmolive partnered with Baker-E, a US based studio founded by ex Disney Imagineers who have 100 years of combined experience in creating magical experiences.
