Delhi HC orders HUL to modify Pepsodent advertisement

Four months after releasing a commercial for Pepsodent Germicheck Plus Superior, which blatantly compared it with Colgate Strong Teeth, Hindustan Unilever, has been asked to modify the advertisement by the Delhi High Court.
The court has also restrained HUL from publishing a print ad, which disparaged Colgate Strong Teeth.
The verdict came yesterday following an appeal made by Colgate on August 29 to a division bench of the Delhi High Court. It may be recalled that Colgate's injunction petition filed immediately after release of the commercial on August 9 was dismissed by the single judge of the Delhi High Court hearing the matter. This was on August 21.
