Vivek Bali, COO, Sephora India at Arvind Lifestyle Brands, presented detailed insights that highlighted the success of beauty business in India, while explaining the importance of creating an ideal brick-and-mortar experience as a beauty retailer.


In his session titled, “The growth of beauty across online and offline channels in India”, on Day-1 of In-Store Asia 2018, Vivek Bali, COO, Sephora India at Arvind Lifestyle Brands, presented a plethora of reasons and trends that will ensure the success of beauty business in the country.

After presenting the stark trend differences in mass and premium segments of beauty business, he indicated the fast migration trend from mass to premium is fueled by rising hygiene and beauty consciousness, changing demographics and increasing spending capacities. On talking about the ideal store experiences for beauty retailers, Bali suggested true experience of omni-channel, great selection at the store and true experience of test-and-try.
