According to the company, Chip-on-Board (COB) displays are seeing increased adoption, while Micro LED in Package (MIP) is gradually emerging as another technology option for high-quality display applications.
Finito Communications (Finito LED), a Hyderabad-based company that supplies LED display hardware for indoor and outdoor projects across diverse sectors, is expanding its LED display portfolio with technologies such as Chip-on-Board (COB), Surface Mount Device (SMD), and Micro LED in Package (MIP), as the company continues to cater to indoor display requirements across retail and commercial projects.
According to Chandra Mohan, Founder of Finito Communications Pvt. Ltd., the industry has become increasingly technology-driven, requiring companies to continuously upgrade their offerings to meet changing customer expectations.
“The display industry keeps evolving. While one technology is being adopted in the market, newer technologies are already being developed. We have to stay updated and introduce the latest solutions to customers so they understand the benefits and choose what best suits their requirements,” he said.
Among the newer technologies, COB displays are gaining attention for their improved durability and display quality, while MIP is emerging as another option for applications that demand finer pixel pitches and enhanced visual performance. Chandra confirms that both technologies are now part of the company's product portfolio, although SMD continues to account for the majority of current installations.
Commenting on industry trends, Chandra said the Indian LED display market has become increasingly competitive over the years, with more companies entering the segment and customers gaining access to a wider range of products and technologies. “Customers today have more choices than ever before. Our role is to keep introducing the latest display technologies and recommend solutions based on the specific requirements of each project,” he added.
With SMD continuing as the dominant technology and newer options such as COB and MIP gradually becoming available, the LED display industry is witnessing a broader range of solutions for businesses investing in digital display infrastructure.
