Sagar Daryani and his team has spearheaded the journey from small kiosks in Kolkata to the Country’s largest Indian Origin Quick Service Restaurant Chain, today Wow! Momo is the country's largest chain of Momos both in terms of Volumes & Turnovers with over 160 outlets across 10 cities.


Sagar Daryani, Co-Founder & CEO Wow! Momo Foods, will present his topic “Creative Disruption - How to differentiate in a crowd” at the two-day convention in In-Store Asia 2018, the largest retail experience expo and convention in the Indian subcontinent, which is scheduled to be held between 22nd-24th February 2018 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai.

Having done his schooling from St. James's School, Kolkata & Graduation from St. Xaviers Kolkata, Sagar Daryani & his college friend, Binod Homagai started Wow! Momo immediately after completion of 3rd Year Final Exams (Even before the results were Out) at the age of 21 in 2008 with an initial Investment of only Rs. 30,000.With a recent Company valuation of Rs.280 Crores, and the journey from small kiosks in Kolkata to Country’s largest Indian Origin Quick Service Restaurant Chain, today Wow! Momo is the country's largest chain of Momos both in terms of Volumes & Turnovers with over 160 outlets across 10 cities.  Sagar & his team have literally "played with momos" & now their menu caters to 13 different flavours of momos. Currently Wow! Momo produces over 2 Lac pieces of momos per day. Sagar is an enthusiast who is highly passionate about brand building. He dreams of an India where employment is 100%. The company currently employs over 1500 staff of which about 60 are especially able or from various NGOs which the company has partnered with. Under his leadership Wow! Momo has earned many awards & accolades including National Entrepreneurship Award 2016 from Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt of India & The Images Most Admired Indian origin Quick Service Restaurant chain of the year 2018.  The brand, under his leadership aspires to be the McDonalds of India and aims to become one of the World's fastest growing QSR Chains, thereby creating employment & adding value to the economy & society as a whole.
