Kalyan Jewellers to expand in India and Middle East
The brand launched three stores in Mumbai as a part of their expansion strategy
As part of their retail expansion plans, Kalyan Jewelers launched three showrooms at Vashi, Thane and Borivali in Mumbai. For the current fiscal, the brand plans to open five more stores, where the group will expand to Surat and Nagpur in the first quarter of 2013. Currently, Kalyan Jewellers has 48 showrooms across four southern states and had recently forayed into markets like Gujarat and Maharashtra. The group also plans to open five stores in the Middle East and has set an ambitious target of 100 showrooms by 2015.
They had been at the forefront of pioneering efforts to educate the public of cheating and malpractices in gold quality and pricing through their campaign'Fight against Impure Goldâ€. Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwraya Rai Bachchan will represent Kalyan Jewelers nationally. To represent the company regionally they have stalwarts like Nagarjuna in Andhra Pradesh, Sivaraj Kumar in Karnataka, Prabhu in Tamil Nadu and Dileep in Kerala.
