The food lovers of Kolkata can now experience a distinctive gastronomic treat with the launch of The Funjabi Tadka, a restaurant offering contemporary home–style North-Indian food. Having headquartered in Kolkata, The Funjabi Tadka is the first venture of Snowball Conclave Pvt. Ltd. The brand is a take-off from Chef Harpal's show'Turban Tadka' of the "Food Food” channel. The 3000 sq.ft premium fine dining outlet is located in the upmarket area of Southern Avenue.

Starting from the entrance to the interior of this unique dinning place, everything has been inspired from the rustic Punjab eateries. However, the idea was to derive few elements of Punjabi Dhabas and create something which is more appealing to the modern sensibilities. "The cuisine being North Indian and Chef Harpal's association with that region, apart from being an expert of this type of cuisine, makes him a perfect fit to augment the brand positioning”, added Satyaki Mukherjee on being asked about the association with Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi.
