The brand, focused on traditionally made products and women-led entrepreneurship, expands in Gujarat with new store in Surat
Sidhi Marwadi, one of India’s fastest growing rural food brands focused on traditionally made products and women-led entrepreneurship, has opened its second store in Gujarat. Located in Surat’s Parvat Patiya area, the outlet is the company’s 11th in India and part of a broader retail expansion plan targeting 100 outlets by the end of FY 2025–26.
The 500 sq. ft. store at 29, Abhilasha Heights, Aai Mata Chowk, is operated by a local woman entrepreneur, Jayshree Shileshbhai Chouhan, under the brand’s franchise model — a format designed to encourage grassroots entrepreneurship, especially among women. This model is central to Sidhi Marwadi’s mission to empower local leaders and recognise the best rural entrepreneurs shaping India’s food landscape.
Founded by Kaushalya Chaudhary, recently acknowledged among emerging rural women entrepreneurs, Sidhi Marwadi began as a small kitchen initiative and is now scaling nationally. The brand is known for its cold-pressed oils, dry vegetables, and traditional spices, all made without artificial additives and rooted in time-honoured processes
“Our journey started in a village kitchen with a few recipes and a belief that clean, honest food should be accessible to everyone,” said Kaushalya Chaudhary. “But equally important was creating an ecosystem where women — especially those without formal experience — could step into business ownership. Opening in Surat with a local woman entrepreneur at the helm is not just symbolic, it’s central to our growth model. We want our expansion to reflect shared progress and cultural continuity.”
The brand is aiming to expand further in Gujarat with upcoming stores in Mehsana, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bharuch, Gandhinagar, Palanpur, and other Tier 2 cities across the state.
