Wadpack installs Century MWB 1620Q die cutting machine in its facility

The next generation die cutting machine is suitable for cutting solid board up to 2,000 gsm and corrugated board up to 9mm. It is also suitable for making POP display units.


Bangalore-based corrugated fibre board container/boxes and corrugated pallets manufacturers Wadpack has recently brought semi-automatic die cutting machine Century MWB 1620Q from China.

The next generation die cutting machine is suitable for cutting solid board up to 2,000 gsm and corrugated board up to 9mm. It is also suitable for making POP display units. This semi-automatic die cutting machine comes with a stripping system.

Talking to Retail4Growth, Sandeep Wadhwa, CMD, Wadpack, explained, “Over the years we have been using flat and punches machines and we have now out runned the flat and punch process, hence we have decided to buy a next-gen machine. We see that this is going to another growth area for us. After a long time we have upgraded technology. We have other router cutting machine and die punch machines as well in our factory. But with this new machine we wanted to go to the next level and offer from primary carton to POP display units to our clients, thus covering the entire gambit. This machine is 9 times faster compared to the other die cutting machines and comes at a cost of INR 1.5 crore.”
