Yeh Hai Aap Ki Dukaan to expand retail network with 50 stores

The retail chain Yeh Hai Aap Ki Dukaan aims to build up a network of 50 stores in the West Bengal market by the end of next financial year. It will consist of exclusive outlets as well as franchise stores

Vedroop Products, which manufactures and markets herbal products, recently decided to roll out their own retail format chain under the brand name‚ Yeh hai Aap ki Dukaan (literally translates to ‘Your Neighbourhood Store‘).This is a chain of departmental stores  having an assortment of products across diverse categories including grocery, health & beauty, accessories, gifts, toys and more. At present, they have five stores in southern region of the city in Kalikapur, Lake Road, Sarat Bose Road, one is in Silver Spring and the other one in South City Gardens. In the beginning, the chain is targeting the premium residential localities of the city. 

Amit Banerjee, Co-Partner, Yeh Hai Aap Ki Dukaan shares with Retail4Growth, "All our stores are typically around 400-500 sq ft. Our plan is to consolidate our brand name with our 8-10 exclusive outlets and then we will go by the franchise model and add up to 50 stores in next two years in West Bengal. Apart from covering Kolkata and its outskirts market, we are looking at cities such as Bardhaman, Durgapur and Asansol as potential regions”. Once they establish the brand visibility of the chain in eastern zone, they will go for bigger roll outs within 3-4 years in other regions of the country.
