Malabar Gold and Diamonds plans expansion, to open its first store in Bihar

With the 5500 sq. ft. showroom launch in Bihar, the company plans to triple the number of showrooms with an aim to strengthen its position in the next five years.
The Kerala-based jewellary retailer, Malabar Gold and Diamonds will have a virtual opening of its new store in Bihar. The 5500 sq. ft. the showroom will offer a hygienic retail ambiance and ensure safer shopping experience.
M.P. Ahammed, Chairman, Malabar Group, said,” The virtual store launch will bring an element of novelty to our main foray into Bihar. We’ve plans to triple the number of showrooms in the next five years.”
The brand presently has more than 260 showrooms spread over 10 states. It aims at strengthening its physical presence in eastern India.
”The retail expansion is a part of the company’s plan to become the No. 1 gold retail brand in the world in terms of both, showroom count and sales, “he added.
The jewellary chain started with a flagship store at Kozhikode, Kerala in 1993. The company has multiplied its retail presence with stores in high streets, reputed malls and departmental stores, since then.
