The design house for ethnic Fashion aims to empower and mobilise one of India’s first grassroots “Free of Cost” DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Mask movement to contribute towards the efforts in fighting covid-19.

Neeru's is a treasure house of Fashion, for the latest Indian Ethnic Wear collections, that showcases exquisite bridal finery, formals, office outfits, daily cotton and much more. With the growing number of Covid-19 cases and with resources being limited, Neeru’s has launched its own line of masks to address the shortage of masks and mitigate the impact of the deadly virus.

As Avnish Kumar, MD Neeru’s explains, “Neeru’s as a Design House for Ethnic Fashion are aiming to keep our goal to empower and mobilize one of India’s first grassroots “FREE of COST” DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Mask movement to contribute towards the efforts in Fighting covid-19. Prepared using fabrics and slew of tailors under safe, sanitary conditions, the masks have been manufactured keeping the government’s healthcare guidelines in mind".

Speaking more about the initiative, Avnish Kumar, MD Neeru’s shares, “We believe this is our chance to join the fight against Covid-19 and help employees, families and those in need. Through a robust distribution system we would reach out to people who need a mask to effectively practice social distancing in shared spaces and, I strongly believe, DIY Mask movement will slow the transmission of Coronavirus".

The brand is taking all necessary measures to ensure that masks are being made available in bulk to various government bodies including hospitals, NGOs for free. “By now, we have a capacity of making appx 2500-3000 pieces of masks every day and we aim to distribute about 1 lakh masks for free by end of April. We are distributing it to police stations, municipal bodies, NGOs, retailers, hospitals, and the people who are in need of it. Recently approx. 200 travelers, including UK Counsel General Andrew Fleming, wore Neeru’s face masks in a flight to London".
