Patrik Antoni moves on from his current role as Deputy Country Manager at Ikea India to join INGKA (Ikea and Mega Shopping Malls) as General Manager and will be based in Moscow, Russia. He will assume the new role from December this year.

As shared on his own LinkedIn post, Patrik Antoni, the Deputy Country Manager of Ikea India, has stepped down from his role last week to move to Russia to work as General Manager of INGKA (Ikea and Mega Shopping Malls). After spending 5 years in India during his last role, Antoni will now be based in Moscow, Russia and his new role will commence from December 1. Antoni, in his past roles, had served Ikea Russia and Ikea Portugal spanning for more than 9 years

His LinkedIn post reads: “After 5 great years in India it’s time for us to move on and look for new adventures. It’s been transforming years for me professionally as well as personally. I have learnt a lot about both India and IKEA, I have met many amazing people and colleagues, we have opened the first IKEA store and Lydia Anita, our daughter, was born India. India will without doubt forever have a very special place in our hearts. An exciting and humbling future at the same time as I will miss India immensely!”

During Patrik’s stint, Ikea opened their first India store in Hyderabad, spanning across 400,000 sq ft, earlier this year and the Swedish retail giant has earmarked the key markets to set up stores in India. His role focused on property, HR, Customer Experience, Ikea Food and Corporate Communications.
