Seven Designs launches furniture boutique in Kolkata

Seven Designs HOME, a boutique furniture store, is a new addition to Kolkata's finest furniture boutique brands, offering the latest trends in home décor and interior design solutions. Spread over a lavish 4,000 square feet area, the store is located in the prime area of Shakespeare Sarani with an array of contemporary furniture and home décor products.

While talking to VMRD, Nikunj Kedia (Director) of Seven Designs shares, "The journey from Seven Designs Furnishing to Seven Designs Home has been an incredible one, which started in 2015, with the realisation that Kolkata needed a store which offers premium furnishing solutions at affordable prices all under one roof. Seven Designs Home is just a step closer to our dream of offering Kolkata with world class furniture at fair prices. We manufacture 40% of our products and import the rest 60%, which are in sync with the latest trends and ideas from around the world. This store has been designed by Mr. Mohd. Ahmed."

The Seven Designs Chain houses a unique concept of "Sleep Boutique” at their stores which provide all kinds of sleep related products and for the first time in Kolkata, where prospective buyers can sleep test a mattress before purchasing it!

"This industry is really booming. Last year when we opened our furnishing store we realised that there is huge demand for furniture like sofas, centre tables and artefacts, thus we took up this decision that soon we will launch a furniture boutique. So with the same FY this is our second store. In the coming years we plan to expand our franchise network pan India in phases. We plan to launch our first phase in November, 2016 with the Sleep Boutique, which will be around 400-600 square feet., and are looking at areas like North Kolkata and beyond this city like Bhuwaneshwar etc. and will open at least 15 such sleep boutiques.  Also we are looking at adding one more very premium outlet covering an area of 10,000 sq. ft. approximately which will be coming up in one and half years time. The second phase will be launched in April 2017, where we plan to start expanding the Seven Designs Furnishing franchise; it will be a larger project at around 1500-2000 square feet. The third phase is scheduled to take off in June 2017, which will be franchising Seven Designs Home, with an area of 3000 square feet,” concludes Kedia.
