The Baker’s Dozen plans to open 50 stores across India

After receiving unexpected growth during the pandemic, the brand aims for an aggressive expansion in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Goa, Kochi, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Lucknow.

The Baker’s Dozen plans to increase its geographic presence in 50 stores across 15 Indian cities by investing 30 million in the upcoming year. After receiving unexpected growth during the pandemic situation, the brand aims to explore tier-1 cities like Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Goa, Kochi, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Lucknow.

We have grown by 300 percent in the last 6 months are now aggressively pressing the pedal on our transformation from B2C to D2C brand. The direct relationship with customers will reinforce our aim to become the preferred neighbourhood artisan bakery brand for everyone.”

The company has already set up pilot D2C stores in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR and targets for a consistent frequency to open atleast two outlets every month, throughout India.

The Baker’s Dozen commenced its journey from Mumbai through a small kitchen and 4 bakers, back in 2012. It currently has its existence in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Surat and Baroda and is planning to aggressively expand its footprints for a better reach.
