Zebra launches printing and software solutions for retail

As a bird's eye solution provider to all levels of retail industry, Zebra Technologies have launched a number of new products for Indian market.

In a bid to help retail industry achieve real-time visibility at all levels, Zebra Technologies, eighteen months into its acquisition of Motorola Solutions Enterprise Business (new channel partner programme by the name of PartenerConnect), has launched a range of products. Among its products that are making debut in Indian market soon, 3600 Series is ultra-rugged scanners that offer prolonged durability, enhanced scan performance, and unparalleled manageability in demanding industrial environments, while RFD 8500 is Zebra's first multi-operating system RFID sled designed to easily add high-performance RFID and 1D/2D bar code scanning to Androidâ„¢ and iOSâ„¢ mobile devices. To help warehouse productivity increase by an average of 14 percent based on workflow, Zebra has also launched TC8000 that a mobile touch computer.

Commenting more on the hypermarket scenario in India, Deep Agarwal, Regional sales Director, India, Zebra Technologies Asia Pacific, mentioned, "Today's retailers are fighting for upping their sales growth per square feet. The challenge that today's hypermarkets in India are facing is lot of inventory leakage due to no perpetual inventory monitoring Zebra is offering some real-time visibility solutions to retailers that can plug holes. We come in picture at all levels starting from stock visibility to studying the consumer behaviour. We are even introducing some hands-free scanners etc that can save lot of time than queuing up at the cash counters for scanning each product. we are already providers to top 7 retailers in India and over 10000 outlets are running under our various systems.” Zebra also claims to have been part of some kirana operators and to have riding responses from the tier-II and tier-III cities.
