Kiddy Parties

By Satarupa Chakraborty | October 23, 2017

Designed just for kids, the 500 sq ft Kiddy Parties gifting store, has been created as a whimsical place that evokes a sense of fun & fantasy . Its designed by Ahmedabad-based PS Design, the store’s vibrant interiors grabs the attention of passersby

Space and storage

As a customized gifting store, the main criteria of the store was that it had to accommodate both storage and display areas. “At the same time, we couldn’t be monotonous and dull since the store is all about kids,” added Pankti Shah of PS Design. The space challenge was countered by various kinds of interesting floating and house shaped shelves all painted in pastel shades making the display wall interesting and quirky.

Some smart and eccentric ideas have been used in order to display product in varied manner. “The challenge was to accommodate about 500 different merchandise items in a cohesive manner without turning it into a stereotype retail shop,” Shah added

Wonderland effect

The throw off quirky prints on pillows and upholstery added fresh touch to the overall store design. All drawer and cabinet knobs in birdie, owl and butterfly shapes give playful look to house shaped shelves with fences. The bulbs along with the blush pink colour in the entrance create an interactive and curious environment for the passerby. The blue ombre desk is an element one can’t miss. And wooden hanging above this desk blends in with the pastel hues of store making it subtle background to enhance the products displayed.

Burst Of Colour

One fun fact lies with the use of colours in the store. The store uses a varied palette of pastel shades and bright hues in the same go. Gopi and Namrata Patel of Kiddy Parties explained, “We were a bit apprehensive about using so many shades together and that too in a small space. We suggested the likes of whites and beiges to create perfect offset for our bright-coloured products. However, using such a varied palette finally made the store stand out.”
